Man injured in Pope's Xbox Protest

Pope Benedict XVI terrified members of the public today and injured one, when he hurled what is believed to be an unopened Xbox 360 core unit out into the crowds of St. Peter's Square below.

Exactly what caused this dramatic protest is not yet clear, but some experts believe the current pope was acting out of protest against the Xbox console and Microsoft itself. One man had to be taken to the nearby St. Peters Hospital as it's claimed by witnesses that the object made full contact with his person.

"Enough speed and kinetic energy to kill."

The electronic entertainment system plummeted from the royal balcony, 46 feet above the holy Square, which would have gathered enough speed and kinetic energy to kill, according to the lead researcher at Oxford University, Logan Carlos. It's currently unclear as to whether any compensation will be offered on behalf of the Church, or whether any legal action will be taken.

"The pope is a stupid nerd."

We have already received reader email, many speaking against the pope in today's actions. Ravier Jaye from Hull writes: "The pope is a stupid nerd. I spend all night just to buy an xbox and then smash.. ohoh.. he is reaally inteligent. he should find some girls (if he can, i am sure he cannot) instead of entretaining the stupid "americans" that laugh about that."

The pope's stance on the other 'next generation' consoles such as the Nintendo Wii, has yet to be confirmed.
